Monday's long walk.

We went to the post office, to the cash machine, and to MonoPrix to get provisions this morning. After lunch we decided that a long walk was in order since the morning's grayness and drizzle had changed to a sunny day. We headed west, following the Seine, towards the Louvre. We looked into one of the pet shops, oohing & aahing at the cute puppies, kittens, and dwarf bunnies. The latter being for pets, not food, I think in this case. The day got hotter, we stopped in the underground Carrousel du louvre ( a mall!) which was just a mall, but the interesting sight is that there is part of a wall from early Paris, Charles V, I think. It wasn't cooler down there, so we continued along rue de Rivoli. We got a couple of books in Galignani (very expensive to buy new paperback books but we needed them.) We walked all the way to Place de la Concorde, stopped to snap a picture, then headed east through the Tuilleries. After another bit of sitting to enjoy the shade and peace, we headed to the metro for a swift ride back to the Cite and a nap.

How did I get into this?

I was asked when I started doing Mailart. Good question. Like many artists, I was making and mailing art without even knowing it had a name ...
